CCB Announcer and Vocal Soloist

Originally from Greenbrier, Tennessee, Courtney Williams attended the University of Tennessee before joining the United States Navy Band in Washington, D.C. During his distinguished military career, he performed in 49 of the 50 United States and became known as “The Voice of the Navy.” As a master of ceremonies, he led hundreds of high-profile events, including the presidential inaugurations of Presidents Obama, Trump, and Biden.

Renowned for his rich bass voice, Courtney has performed with the U.S. Navy Band, Sea Chanters Chorus, Country Current, and the Charleston Concert Band. He has also sung the National Anthem for the Washington Nationals, Washington Commanders, and Charleston RiverDogs.

Retired from military service, Courtney lives in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, with his wife and two sons. He is a Realtor with The Firm Real Estate Company and a travel advisor with Runway Travel Company, helping clients navigate two of life’s most meaningful journeys: finding the right home and exploring the world.

Courtney is honored to serve as the Charleston Concert Band’s announcer and vocal soloist and to perform alongside such an exceptional group of musicians..
