America's musical traditions, drawn from all the cultures that have contributed to the development of American society, are one of the most important factors that bind us together as a nation.

Founded in 1978, the Charleston Concert Band is one of the oldest musical ensembles in the South Carolina Lowcountry. Comprised of approximately 80 musicians, all of whom are volunteers, our membership is drawn from many walks of life and boasts a number of professional musicians and music educators. We join because we just love to play music.

Our mission is to promote America’s unique musical heritage. Our goal is to unite our fellow citizens through music, thus improving the quality of life for the communities we serve.

The Concert Band and Jazz Ensemble perform throughout the Lowcountry, including Charleston, Daniel Island, Mt Pleasant, North Charleston, and Summerville.
